CNN Creator Ted Turner Calls “Bullshit” Live On Fox Business

Fox Business Network anchor Brian Sullivan sat down with T. Boone Pickens and Ted Turner at the Milken Global Conference in Beverly Hills today. CNBC did too – they called their interview with Pickens a “First On” but it aired after the FBN one.

In the conversation, Turner got a little animated about energy – and dropped a “bs bomb.”

Here was the exchange (video below):

Sullivan: Without subsidies you can’t do it.
Pickens: How do you like subsidizing foreign oil? You like that?
Turner: Who built the state highway system?
Sullivan: Eisenhower.
Turner: Bullshit. We did.

Sullivan and Pickens started laughing. “It’s the second time the BS bomb has been dropped on me in the last week,” said the FBN anchor. (Here’s the first time, curtesy of Charlie Gasparino.)

Meanwhile CNBC’s Maria Bartiromo interviewed Pickens too. It was taped before the FBN sit-down but aired after. But CNBC promoted the interview, before and during, as a “First On CNBC.”
