Jane Velez-Mitchell No Longer Has Issues With Her HLN Title

HLN’s Jane Velez-Mitchell is dropping the Issues from the title of her 7pm EST news program airing weeknights.

“I can tell you they’ve done a lot, trying to figure out what the name should be,” Valez-Mitchell explained in a video posted to her Facebook page. “We brought in focus groups…we’ve had teams of experts. They’ve finally come up with a new name and I think it’s terrific — Jane! Velez-Mitchell! Yeah! So guess what, I want to see you there, 7pm Eastern! Okay?!”

Velez-Mitchell’s now-eponymous show kicks off Monday at 7 p.m. Watch her announcement below, courtesy of HLN:

Haha…they are definitely annoying. Used to tolerate Velez until she attacked Jack Hanna during the killer whale fiasco @ Sea World. F’em all.

Whether it’s NFL play-by-play, politics, celebrities or other current events I definitely favor an anchor who shows lots of enthusiasm … and that’s JVM to a tee.

But her constant shouting is such a turnoff I haven’t watched her since the aftermath of the very controversial Casey Anthony verdict in Orlando.

But to be fair to Jane who (unlike Nancy Grace) strikes me as a decent caring person there has been a real dearth of compelling stories that stand out from the run of the mill missing persons cases.

I wish her well … but I doubt if I will be watching again anytime soon … especially if she keeps yelling at me. :)
