First Lady Jill Biden’s criticism of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is evidently not sitting well with Pelosi’s family.
In an interview with the Washington Post published Wednesday, the outgoing first lady swiped at Pelosi for what she clearly considered a betrayal — pressuring President Joe Biden to exit the 2024 race in a high-profile interview on Morning Joe.
“We were friends for 50 years,” Jill Biden said of Pelosi. “It was disappointing.”
Speaking with Politico on Saturday, filmmaker Alexandra Pelosi fired back at Mrs. Biden.
“If I was Lady McBiden, I’d put on my big girl pants, play the long game and think about my husband’s legacy,” Alexandra Pelosi said. “There aren’t that many people left in America who have something nice to say about Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi is one of them.”
Politico said the White House declined to respond. And President Biden has reportedly refused numerous requests from Nancy Pelosi for a meeting to repair their relationship.
“She’s been told they’re not over it, don
