Also of note — over the weekend, as news of Whitney Houston‘s death spread, CNN was the place to be, as viewers flocked to the station in droves. The network peaked between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m., pulling in 3.155 million viewers, who watched Don Lemon and Piers Morgan deliver what little news there was and drive most of the interviews and early remembrances. During the 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. primetime block, CNN averaged 2.534 million viewers, and 1.198 million in the demo, beating Fox News and MSNBC combined.
