The View’s Joy Behar declared on Wednesday that no one in the Senate is displaying the “testicularity required” for the job as President Donald Trump’s nominees go through their confirmation processes.
The hosts of The View were mostly in agreement that Trump’s nominee to head the Department of Health and Human Services, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., was likely to be confirmed as his confirmation hearing was happening. Whoopi Goldberg and Behar dismissed any controversies surrounding Kennedy, noting that Pete Hegseth was confirmed as Secretary of Defense after a tense hearing where allegations of abuse were brought up.
Behar said she doesn’t see anyone on either side in the Senate with the proper nether regions to oppose Trump’s nominees.
She argued:
Hegseth, the guy the last guy was questioned by Sen. Thom Tillis. He said that his sister in law was convinced — they told her to come forward and talk about the abuse that he created, you can back me up on this, and he really nailed Hegseth on the topic of abuse and women, and he still voted for him. So it doesn’t matter. We’re in a very bad situation in this country right now where there’s nobody in Congress that I’m watching who has the, how should I put this, the testicularity required of the job and I’m frightened by it, frankly. I see this every day,
all these people capitulating to Trump and his dictatorial needs. And it’s just very, very bad, I think.
Kennedy denied accusations he is anti-vaccine at his hearing, which was disrupted by protesters multiple times, and got into heated exchanges with multiple lawmakers criticizing him over past statements.
Alyssa Farah Griffin pushed back slightly on Behar , saying Republicans like Sens. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) and Susan Collins (R-ME) have proven to be obstacles for Trump in the Senate.
“Maybe we should change the testicular fortitude to a female alternative because the two Republicans who have opposed Trump nominations so far have been Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins,” she said.
