GCB‘s Kristin Chenoweth On Gingrich’s ‘Anti-Christian’ Comment: ‘Don’t Talk About My Show!’

Recently, Newt Gingrich said the new ABC show GCB is anti-Christian. Following the comment, Kristin Chenoweth, who stars in the series, responded and said Gingrich is wrong and that, furthermore, she wouldn’t make fun of her own religion that way.

Here’s to show you the biases of the elite media, look at the new show that’s on that has the word ‘Christian’ in it and I want you to take the exact name, drop out Christian and put in Muslim … and ask yourself, is there any network that would have dared to run a show like that and you know the answer is not a one because anti-Christian bigotry is just fine in the entertainment industry but they have to be very protective of Islam.

Speaking to, Chenoweth said, “No, Newt, don’t talk about my show! I would never do anything that would make fun of my own religion! I don’t think [GCB] does that.”

On the plus side (and somewhat ironically), Chenoweth noted that the controversy helped the second episode’s rating.
