One of the theories surrounding the missing MH370 plane is that the pilot, Captain Zaharie Ahmad Shah, was a political fanatic and may have deliberately hijacked the B777, but his son Ahmad Seth is now speaking out against the allegations, saying, “I’ve read everything online. But I’ve ignored all the speculation. I know my father better.”
Seth was reportedly not too bothered by the accusations leveled at his father, but, “he was quick to dismiss the speculation.” He also spoke out on the weeks-long search for the plane his father was piloting, expressing a glimmer of optimism.
“Now, we are just waiting for the right confirmation (for the wreckage or bodies).
“I will believe it (that there are no survivors) when I see the proof in front of my eyes,” he said calmly.
Pieces of information have come out about the pilot, including that he’s a supporter of a Malaysian opposition leader (Mayalsian government officials have called him a “fanatical supporter.”) There has also been the suggestion, leveled most prominently on Fox News, that political correctness about the pilot’s Muslim faith has impeded the investigation.
