Vice President Mike Pence was dispatched, Thursday night, to send out a message to the base: We’re not going to cave.
Appearing on Tucker Carlson Tonight, the vice president reiterated what has been the Trump’s administration stance on border wall funding for the past 13 days during which the Federal government has been shutdown.
“The president has made it clear: No wall, no deal.”
Pence said that President Donald Trump is holding firm at $5.6 billion in wall funding. And there has been no movement on the other side.
“We are at $5.6 billion,” Pence said. “There have been no counteroffers.”
