‘Mitt’s Etch-a-Sketch’ Twitter Account Snarks On Romney’s Flip-Flops
An anonymous Twitter user took Republican frontrunner Mitt Romney‘s spokesperson’s Etch-A-Sketch gaffe to new heights by creating a snarky Twitter account mocking the statement and tweeting as ‘Romney’s Etch-A-Sketch.’ “Hope @MittRomney does not trade me in for Rock ’em Sock ’em Robots when the General Election campaign starts,” tweeted the account.
“At first I was just a toy,” the account describes itself, “but now I am something much, much more.”
The snarkery stems from Romney Communications Director Eric Fehrnstrom‘s disastrous appearance on CNN’s Starting Point on Wednesday, where he made the reference to the toy that now being used as an anti-Romney prop. “Well, I think you hit a reset button for the fall campaign. Everything changes,” Fehrnstrom quipped. “It’s almost like an Etch a Sketch. You can kind of shake it up and we start all over again.”
