Trump Aide Kellyanne Conway Thanks MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski for ‘Your Counsel and Friendship’

The newest Donald Trump administration pick Kellyanne Conway was enthusiastically congratulated by MSNBC Morning Joe host Mika Brzezinski Thursday morning, with Conway in turn thanking her for being a friend.

“Well, this is exciting and unexpected,” Brzezinski said when introducing Conway, shortly after it was announced that the former Trump campaign manager had been tapped for the position of White House counselor.

“Tell us what went behind this decision,” Brzezinski asked. “You and I have spoken a little bit. There’s a lot of factors at play.”

“I appreciate your counsel and your friendship throughout, Mika, and that of many others,” Conway responded.

Much like her boss, Conway’s relationship with Morning Joe has had its ups and downs. Only a month ago, she angrily texted the hosts during the show to complain that their criticism of her was sexist.
