Lance Armstrong has a lot of what one might call “chutzpah.” He took performance-enhancing drugs for years and years, yet repeatedly denied it in interviews and even took offense when the issue was brought up. And to add to the already growing list of “well, in hindsight he’s a schmuck” videos, check out this 2001 video Armstrong did with a very anti-doping message.
The ad, done for Nike, splices together footage of Armstrong training, biking, and getting an injection in front of cameras. Armstrong narrates the 30-second piece, throwing in this little monologue at the end.
”Everybody wants to know what I’m on. What am I on? I’m on my bike busting my ass six hours a day. What are you on?”
Not performance-enhancing drugs, that’s for sure.
