Sen. Joe Manchin announced on Friday afternoon that he will vote to confirm Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, becoming the only Democrat to do so.
The West Virginia senator made the announcement moments after key vote Sen. Susan Collins, a Maine Republican, announced her support for Kavanaugh in a lengthy speech on the Senate floor.
Manchin issued a statement on Twitter pledging his vote for Kavanaugh:

Kavanaugh’s confirmation was upended following allegations of sexual misconduct, but yes votes from Collins and Manchin will likely seal his fate as the next Supreme Court Justice.
