Watch Trump Go Window-Shopping for Border Wall Prototypes: Gotta Have ‘See-Through’
President Donald Trump paid a visit to Southern California this afternoon to inspect the prototypes for the long-promised border wall that was the centerpiece of his presidential campaign. During his tour today near the US-Mexican border, the president talked about what he thinks is most needed for his perfect wall.
“You have to have see-through,” POTUS declared. “You have to know what’s on the other side of the wall… You could be two feet away from a criminal cartel and you don’t even know they’re there. Now we have equipment to take care of that, x-ray equipment, etc.”
Trump then asked a law enforcement official how important he thought “see-through” was, leading the officer to state that if he can see across the border, he can get ahead of threats.
The president went on to say that fences won’t work because even if you have a “very powerful fence” you still will have to deal with people cutting holes in the fence. Therefore, America needs a wall along the border because “if you don’t have a wall system we’re not going to have a country.”
He concluded by declaring they were looking at some walls with “some see-through capability,” adding that “if you don’t have see-through, it’s a problem.”
We’re assuming the president wants a wall he can see through.
