Officials from the National Security Agency will testify for the first time since the leaks revealed secret programs to collect metadata on Americans’ phone calls and track the digital communications of foreigners. The U.S. Senate Appropriations Committee is expected to hear testimony from NSA Director Keith Alexander, Acting Deputy Secretary Department of Homeland Security Rand Beers and others.
