The murder trial for Jodi Arias, the admitted Arizona killer of ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander, concluded last week. And after nearly three full days of deliberations, the jury has reportedly reached a verdict.
The jury began deliberations Friday afternoon, weighing what they’ve seen over a long trial that has included Arias taking the stand in her own defense, breaking down at the sight of crime-scene photos, listening to and explaining her incredibly NSFW phone sex tapes before the victim’s family, and taking questions directly from the jurors themselves.
Even though Arias admits she shot and repeatedly stabbed Alexander, her claim is that it was done out of self-defense.
The jury is scheduled to read their verdict at 4:30 p.m. ET this afternoon.
If convicted for Alexander’s murder, Arias faces the death penalty.
