Then, he asked people to donate tweets in place of cash, to generate more buzz for his campaign. On Friday, Roemer announced his latest undertaking — inviting the nation to play against him in a March Madness NCAA Bracket Challenge. Love or hate the man (or even if you’re just learning about him now), it’s undeniably a fun idea.

If you’ve watched Fox News recently, you’ve likely been treated to the stylings of Sally Kohn, the liberal contributor who seems to be having a rollicking good time going up against the network’s stable of right-leaning opinioneers. Kohn, a native of Allentown, Pa., became a Fox News contributor late last year. Meryl Streep won the third Academy Award of her career on Sunday night, for her role as Margaret Thatcher in The Iron Lady. This was Streep’s 17th nomination. She was given a standing ovation by the crowd, and pleaded with them to stop cheering and sit down the second she got to the microphone.

While presenting the award for Best Adapted Screenplay at the Academy Awards Sunday night, actress Angelina Jolie struck a pose on stage, seductively showing her right leg through a slit in her dress. After Alexander Payne, Nat Faxon, and Jim Rash won the Oscar for their adapting of The Descendants, the trio bounded on stage. While Payne was beginning to speak, Rash stuck out his right leg, resting his award on this thigh, mimicking Jolie’s pose.

Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis combined to create one of the more memorable Oscar moments Sunday night, when they presented the award for Best Original Song. The duo emerged from the orchestra pit in white tuxedos, banging cymbals, walking in front of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, then making their way to the stage to present the award. They eventually dropped the cymbals a few times, before awarding the Oscar to Bret McKenzie for “Man or Muppet.”

During Sunday’s Oscar telecast, Canadian aerial specialists Cirque du Soleil jumped, flipped, and flew across the stage in a tribute to the movie-going experience. They were introduced by Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy, and, after the gravity-defying performance, host Billy Crystal joked that, with puppets and acrobats, “we’re just a pony away from a Bar Mitzvah.”
