Even Hooters Has Standards When It Comes to Serving Mayor Bob Filner
San Diego Hooters restaurants are laying down the law when it comes to their clientele.
The chain is well-known for busty waitresses and a flirtatious business model — in fact, its female employees must agree to this statement when they are hired: “the Hooters concept is based on female sex appeal.” Keeping all of that in mind perhaps makes the following news all the more interesting.
The chain’s franchises in San Diego, Calif., are putting their foot down when it comes to the mayor of San Diego. As a local Republican official tweeted, the mayor — if he attempts to enter the Hooters chains — will be refused service because of his “disrespectful” conduct:
Mayor Bob Filner has been swept up in controversy following accusations of sexual harassment by over a dozen women, including staff members and survivors of military sexual assault, and has been hit with numerous calls to resign. Filner has just this week emerged from “intensive behavior counseling” meant to resolve his decades of bad behavior, but is so far adamant about remaining in office. He’s been locked out of his office by the staff; and now he can’t even head to Hooters to take his mind off things.
When a business based on the mentality of a creepy old man/teenage hormonal boy hybrid says you’re too pervy for their “breasturant,” perhaps it’s time to reevaluate.

UPDATE (7:36pm ET): It turns out the anti-Filner signs were actually created by none other than Glenn Beck for any and all San Diego establishments to hang in their windows.
