Joe Biden To Scott Brown: ‘I Want To Talk To You About Your Daughters’

Recently elected Sen. Scott Brown was sworn in today by Vice President Joe Biden, giving Massachusetts a brand new senator. Microphones caught post-oath chit-chat between the two politicians in which Biden was heard to say “I want to talk to you about your kids.” Brown made a bit of a stir during his victory speech a couple weeks ago when he notoriously pointed out to a national television audience that his “daughters were available.”

Thanks Colby. I’m sure there’s an army of bloggers looking through the archives for Biden saying “the exact same thing”. After we’ve gone through another round using the compare/contrast, Brown’s oldest might have to change her name to “Available Daughter”.

Biden can probably offer some valuable advice about what a cruel world national politics can be. Scott Brown was a loving father, who had no idea how nasty people can be on a national level…. He was still in the mindset of his small town feel. He made a joke, one said at a large party would be funny and no big deal, and even normal. He will realize in a flash that he is no longer in the small time and people will eviscerate you for anything, especially if you are a conservative. I don’t think it was creepy or weird. I think it was probably a nice gesture.
