So anyone can draw their own interpretation and do not have to rely on Media Matters’ commentary. Which Muslim countries have you visited, lived in or worked in. In the ones that I’ve been to they have no trouble applauding their accomplishments, real or imagined, and need no help from the American tax payers. You can’t really refute an argument that is lacking in facts. Stewart didn’t provide the full context of Bolden’s comments, therefore all the FOX clips he then showed do appear to be out of context. We have a guy here at my company, one of the guys out on the plant floor. He’s a very typical and cliche Stewart fan… He’s a very nice guy, by the way, a guitarist, and makes no bones about the fact that he smokes pot most days after work. He watches Stewart because he’s too intellectually lazy to watch real news, and I’m not saying that as an insult, it’s just the way it is. He’d rather be playing golf or baseball, or just sitting in front of Robot Chicken smoking weed, than to have to think about the news of the day, and so shows like Stewart’s are right up his alley, he “thinks” he’s caught up with events by watching a “news” program that also can hold his attention because it’s entertaining, and Stewart cusses, when in fact, all he’s getting is leftist horseshit from a comedian.

The Daily Show has become good again because they have fair shots at Obama, as well as the media at large. The point that they’ve targeted FOX a bit is because they largely tow the same line across all programming, and this more often than not can cause moments of humor, especially when examples of the past [aka Reagan here] contradict their points that, for example, “NASA shouldn’t be used for politics.”

The constant fear tactics of FOX, which seems worse than ever, which is why some of us have grown to hate them, as well as they get a lot of mocking. Catching a few minutes of CNN, possibly FOX, MSNBC, browsing the web, gives you a much better scope of things than the pigeon holing FOX commonly pursues.

Either way, have fun here all. Stewart isn’t a news show, but one opinion of what’s going on, and how ridiculous coverage can be, or politicians can as well. Like how we’re going to become independent of foreign oil, since, you know, every president since at least Nixon.

The Special Operations Warrior Foundation – As listed on the website “All contributions made to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation (SOWF) will first be applied to the costs of the Restoring Honor Rally taking place on August 28, 2010. All contributions in excess of these costs will then be retained by the SOWF.” The funds go to Glenn’s August 28th rally and if anything is left it goes to SWOF, (my opinion) I guess Beck making 18 million last year wasn’t enough for him to even pay for his own rally.

My opinion, SWOF is a noble organization, I just think it is a shame such a great non-profit is being exploited this way.
