True Blood! Rolling Stone Cover Raises Eyebrows

Need more evidence that HBO’s serial vampire drama True Blood has entered the zeitgeist? I submit the following: naked and blood-soaked stars of the hit show on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine. E!’s Ryan Seacrest reports on the “controversy” perfectly designed to drum up even more buzz and eyeballs for the True Blood, Rolling Stone and perhaps even Mediaite.

Great cover-the three of them are fucking hot. But the show has too many silly plotlines and moments to be great.

It’s either the Shock & Awe to increase readership ploy!

An inside look at an msnbc staff meeting after the FOX ratings come out!!!

I suspect more than eyebrows were raised….

Here’as another dying media outlet trying to stay relevant by being tasteless and ridiculous. Sort of like the Newsweek cover of Sarah Palin in jogging clothes. That kind of stuff led to Newsweek being sold for a dollar (no, not an issue of Newsweek, but the whole company going for a buck). Rolling Stone will eventually end up on the same junk heap, and this kind of vile stuff will just speed up the process.

All right , you mugs . Big Eddie don’t get it . Was there a knife fight at a nudist colony ?

Rolling Stone is still going strong, in spite of the crybabies who prefer Readers Digest and Redbook.
Oooooh! Naked people! Grow the fuck up, ya bunch of pussies!

    It’s called CAMP, dummy.
Stop taking the show so seriously and you may just enjoy its intentional goofiness.

Ohhhhh, So it’s like a drag show but with vampires. That’s way to smart for me. Enjoy!

    Definitely TOO smart for you.
    Stick TO Nickelodeon, dummy.

  • Azarkhan

Gosh, Hugo. You really are bright. You know the difference between TO and TOO.

PS: It was a typo-you can untwist your panties.

lol, you could not be wronger. The politically correct knights like you won’t buy it, but 10 bucks say more people pick up this issue of Rolling Stone than the past 50 issues. That’s a thoroughly badass cover.

You think so, Raygun? Then maybe they should puke on the next cover and sell even more copies.

The magazine cover is better than the show. All these “vampires” do is talk, seriously, if I wanted to watch real life I would turn off the TV.

Comment of the year Puter Boi!

    Well done.

I think you’re right. That is an outstanding cover, and it will do good business for both RS and True Blood. So what do they do for the next 50 issues, other than fail like the previous issues?

Yeah, it is a soap opera. A very bloody soap opera, which is still kinda fun. But if you want to take Alan Ball seriously, watch Six Feet Under. That was great. True Blood is great fun.
