Univision President Compares Donald Trump to Charleston Shooter
In the midst of a heated dispute between *sigh* presidential candidate Donald Trump and Univision, the Spanish-language network’s president of programming and content seemingly compared Trump to Charleston shooter Dylann Storm Roof.
Alberto Ciurana posted a split image of Roof and Trump on his Instagram with the caption “No comments [sic],” adding in Spanish “no comment.” He deleted the image after a backlash, but the Washington Free Beacon managed to grab a screenshot of the posting.
The Free Beacon reports that some of Ciurana’s followers told him the posting was inappropriate in the comments. Patty Rodriguez, senior producer of On Air with Ryan Seacrest, scolded him, saying “This is very irresponsible of you.”
Earlier today, Univision announced that they were cancelling their coverage of the Trump-owned Miss America competition after his offensive comments about Mexicans. Trump fired back, saying their contract was “iron-clad” and that Univision had no right to do so.
