As I began to watch the interview he gave to Jorge Ramos, I found myself moving closer and closer to the TV, as if I were deciphering a strange language. The premier Spanish network had made the awful choice of dubbing instead of subtitling the interview.

Did President Obama’s Sunday media blitz make a difference? It’s hard to tell, though the headlines would suggest that the takeaway thus far seems to be split between issues of race and Obama’s ability to manage the media. So what if anything did this uber media savvy President have to say about the press is spends so much of his time courting? Mostly that the media loves rude. And he said it a lot.

Pres. Barack Obama has now completed his unprecedented Sunday show media blitz (“El Completo Ginsburg“), and all the interviews have aired.

We took a look at how the four interviews went (excluding Univision for this post), and what was learned, looking at several categories: number of questions, first, last and best question and how the host handled the all-important “race” question. Here are the results:

You heard me. Aside from being an object of reverence fo millions and having a rather shayna punim, these two have something very specific in common.

President Obama — who has made more public appearances than perhaps any sitting president in history — will be doing a “El Completo Ginsburg” on Sunday, hitting five Sunday shows, plus Letterman on Monday. Judging by the headlines he has a lot of explaining to do.
