Remember early 2011′s pop confection Herman Cain? The former Godfather’s Pizza CEO/Pokémon aficionado is still making headlines with his Solutions Revolution tour, and on Your World today he had some advice for frontrunner Mitt Romney: choosing Chris Christie as a vice presidential candidate could sink his campaign– but only adopting 999 could save it.

Sarah Palin isn’t one to dally around after the holidays for much time, making her first Fox News appearance of the year– a nineteen minute doozy– on Your World two days into 2012 with host Eric Bolling, and ran the gamut of topics from every 2012 candidate to the potential of third-party candidates. She was particularly vocal in defending Donald Trump, who she insisted had a lot to offer and told his detractors “enough is enough, shut up about it.”

A video of Illinois Congressman Joe Walsh yelling at constituents went viral today. In it, Walsh is seen screaming and getting in the face of regular people after they suggested some more regulation might be needed to watch over banks and corporations. This afternoon, Walsh went on to Your World to offer an explanation on his odd behavior. Apparently he had “made the mistake of doing [the town hall] on an empty stomach with a little too much coffee.” I see.

Yesterday was Fox News’ 15th anniversary, and while it seemed the entire network was in a celebratory mode, there was no more marked display of effusive joy at the event than the highlight reel of celebrity well-wishing on yesterday’s Your World (hosted for the day by Eric Bolling, who then had to make a quick dash across the News Corp landscape to make it to The Five in time). Bolling introduced a cheery highlight reel that included such personalities as Donald Trump and Martha Stewart, but by and large it was Richard Simmons, naturally, who took the cake.

Donald Trump spoke with Neil Cavuto today to discuss how he had become the celebrity de jour among Republican presidential candidates. In a phone interview with Cavuto, Trump had some surprising goodwill for President Obama, saying “I’d love to have Obama be a great president, I’d love to see Obama finish off really strongly and do a great job.”

Who is David Lewis and what is he doing giving House Speaker John Boehner a primary challenge? While his origins are somewhat unclear, the Tea Party activist’s agenda was on full display today on Your World, where Lewis told host Neil Cavuto he considered Rep. Boehner a “socialist,” that the Tea Party movement was still “figuring out” whether it was socialist itself, and that Planned Parenthood is a “criminal syndicate.”

A video has been picking up steam throughout the Internet today showing, depending on who you are, some brave patriots showing Barack Obama the truth or a couple of belligerent protesters attempting to scream in the face of our President. This afternoon on Your World, Neil Cavuto interviewed one of the protesters, Tea Party activist Ryan Rhodes about why he did what he did and how he thought it went?

Law-breaking pop starlet Lindsay Lohan may have cultivated an image as more of a hedonist than a proper libertarian, but her recent Twitter comments against the Federal Reserve are winning her all sort of new fans. Latest on that list is Fox Business’ Freedom Watch host Judge Andrew Napolitano, who told Neil Cavuto on Fox News’ Your World today he “loved” Lohan and that she “makes a very good point” about the Fed.

As far as eligible bachelors go, Navy SEALs have to be among the most desired son-in-laws in America right now. So can anyone really blame Neil Cavuto for not letting the opportunity to offer former SEAL Benjamin Smith his daughter’s hand mid-interview go to waste? Needless to say, Smith was at least a little bit shy about the surprise matchmaking.

For a while there, it seemed that we had heard the last of Kentucky Senate candidate and Tea Party poster boy Rand Paul, at least in the national spotlight. After a short hiatus, however, Paul is back with Neil Cavuto on Fox News, still defending the same comments about the Civil Rights Act and government regulation, still bashing the media for making him their designated “punching bag” for the week.

On Tuesday, Robert Gibbs chastised Fox News’ Wendell Goler for an appearance by former FEMA Director Michael Brown in which Gibbs said he alleged sabotage by the administration in the Gulf Oil Spill. Your World host Neil Cavuto then challenged Gibbs to come on the show to correct the record, as Brown had merely said the administration deliberately let the spill worsen to advance policy goals.

Yesterday, White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs had some advice for Neil Cavuto, channeled through Fox News’ Washington correspondent Wendell Goler: don’t let former Bush administration officials propagate conspiracy theories on your show. Except Gibbs didn’t quite get the theory right, which Cavuto took him to task for on today’s program, along with extending Gibbs an invitation to the show himself.

Fox News got a shout-out again in the News Corp. earnings report, out today. The network didn’t just have its best ratings ever in the last quarter, they also had their highest profit.

News Corp. CEO Rupert Murdoch was on FNC’s Your World today to talk about the news and other stories.

Eght and a half minutes of Richard Simmons and Neil Cavuto yukking it up might not seem like the best way to spend your time, the following segment takes a remarkably weird (yet sweet) turn when Simmons breaks down in tears. Video after the jump.

Activist and environmentalist Ed Begley, Jr. was on Fox News’ Your World yesterday, chatting with guest host Stuart Varney about the global warming leaked emails currently being dubbed “Climategate” (of course).

Today Neil Cavuto devoted an entire section of the A-block of his Fox News show Your World to a discussion about how best to remove a door. This is politically analogous to the “closed door” sessions that are occurring right now regarding the health care bill. But, really, it was about doors.

Fox News has found a good reason to keep talking about Fox news – they’ve got an escalating feud with the White House. And no amount of awkwardness is going to stop them from covering themselves.

Don Imus kicks off his Fox Business Network morning show on Monday (we’ll have more on that coming soon), but today he’s interviewed by FNC/FBN anchor Neil Cavuto. The interview airs at 4pmET on Fox News and 6pmET on FBN – and there are quite a few soundbites sure to garner some attention.

The New York Supreme Court appellate division dismissed Dan Rather‘s $70 million lawsuit against his former employer CBS yesterday, and both sides have weighed in. But one person who hasn’t talked yet is Rather himself.

He’ll make his first comments since the dismissal tomorrow – on Fox News.
