Bill O’Reilly Tops One Million In Demo Again Thursday Night

ratings

Cable news ratings, September 17, 2009: Check out the highlights, and see the full ratings below:

Bill O’Reilly was back on top last night, with the top-rated program in the A25-54 demographic and total viewers. He had more than one million demo viewers – no other program had even as many as 900,000. Sean Hannity was #2 in both categories.

• The top non-FNC program was, once again, MSNBC’s Countdown with Keith Olbermann in both categories.

• FNC had more total viewers than MSNBC, CNN and HLN combined in prime time.

Check out all the ratings below, and leave your own thoughts in the comments:

Nice to see Bill continue his streak of around 6 million viewers (throw in his 5:00 am replay) and he’s way past that.

We can only hope that Sean’s show last night will lead to those farmers getting water! One more story the MSM in AWOL on.

  • CaptainAmerica

With their continued sorry ratings no wonder MSNBC is looking for more cutbacks! How come Mediaite isn’t all over this story??!

Congrats to Bill O’ and his center-stage seat to the hate-Obama-fest that is the Fox News channel.

Certainly not all Fox News viewers are racist brain-dead zombies, but it certainly isn’t a coincidence that all racist brain-dead zombies watch Fox News.

CaptainAmerica: When some asshat takes a shot at the President, will that open your eyes? Or are you committed to the hate til the bitter end?

  • CaptainAmerica

Its easy to see that SuperSmart doesn’t even watch The Factor because O Reilly has been very fair towards Obama.

Too bad FNC has the most balanced viewers between Democrats/Indepdents and Republicans. Liberals hate that fact.

They also spew their hatred continually. Odd how when the real hate groups on the left were going non-stop, they didn’t speak up. Keith Olbermann and all his loons at the Daily Ko’s. Oh wait, they weren’t spewing lies about Bush and hatred on a daily basis. Must have been because Bush was white!

Liberals are just flailing now because they’ve seen Obama govern and they know he’s an utter failure. They are terrified about what will happen in 2010. Too bad they can’t debate actual issues and just throw out garbage like racism and other nonsense.

CaptainAmerica what do you think is going to happen in 2010?

Do you have a prediction of how many seats the Ds are going to lose in the House?
    What about the Senate?

  • SuperSmart

CaptainAmerica just can’t deal with the fact that it isn’t just “liberals” who are disgusted by the hate being promoted by Fox News. He quickly labels all dissent as members of his ideological enemy… yet these people are also his neighbors, family and friends… and many are obviously conservative.

He also doesn’t recognize the source for the ground-swell in the ratings for FNC… which comes solely from their hateful opposition to Obama and that they are seen as the Alamo for the far Right. These folks think “their America” is being taken from them because Fox News is pushing the narrative that it is… and as is to be expected… they are coalescing together under this one tent as they see it is their rallying point. Limbaugh’s ratings when through the roof under Clinton for the same exact reason (but obviously without all of the racism… as Clinton isn’t black).

I was a bit young during Carter’s administration… what did the extreme far right use as their tent back then?

Once again SS demonstrates his utter lack of a grasp on anything resembling facts (and his love of hating people not like him). I guess the farmers on Hannity’s show (40,000 people being affected by the Liberals turning off the water) just hate Obama too? They must be ignorantly afraid of losing “their America” (although to be fair, having your family farm foreclosed on and having to live off free government food will do that to some people). SS probably hasn’t seen the Pew research poll that showed Fox has an equal balance of Left, Right and Center (as an Independent, I can attest to how it’s become difficult to watch MSNBC because of how insanely far to the Left they’ve sprinted). I don’t watch Fox because I’m a Conservative, I watch it because it’s my only chance to watch things presented somewhat fairly (not counting Beck or Hannity). Greta, Smith, Baird, and Cavuto have Liberals on all the time to defend their positions, unlike Keith (let me talk extra deep so I sound really really serious) Olberman. Fox went after Bush all the time when they disagreed, unlike Chris (tingly-leg) Mathews, who said he’d “Do everything in my power to make sure Obama succeeds.”

It’s simply not possible to look at those people and believe they have any impartiality on any subject. They are cheerleaders for the Daily KOS. That’s fine if it’s what you want to watch (it’s still a free country….for now), but don’t pretend it’s even in the same league as Fox. That’s the reason their ratings are triple (and even quadruple) MSNBC’s.
