CNN’s Don Lemon Getting 11 P.M. Timeslot Mon-Fri

Mediaite has learned through very reliable sources that CNN anchor Don Lemon will be getting his own program in the 11 P.M. hour at CNN. It will be a one-topic show tackling important issues of the day, either reported or vastly underreported, from Lemon’s unique perspective.

We hear Lemon already informed his weekend staff of the change, and last weekend was his final weekend for CNN Newsroom. The show will be tested during the 11 P.M. hour in December, a timeslot currently occupied by reruns of OutFront.

Mediaite has also learned Lemon will be filling in for Erin Burnett while she is on maternity leave.

Lemon recently showed off his deft and unique interviewing skills in a conversation with a black writer who wrote a column about why he hates being black. You can watch the video below, via CNN:
