CNN’s Finishes 4th in Prime Time Demo For 7th Consecutive Weeknight

Cable news ratings, October 13, 2009: Check out the highlights, and see the full ratings below:

• For the 7th consecutive weekday, CNN finished fourth on cable news in the prime time A25-54 demographic. It was the 77th time CNN finished 4th in that category this year. FNC was way out in front, followed by HLN just edging MSNBC by 1,000 viewers.

• Fox News’ total viewer average during prime time of 2,735,000 beat the other three cable news networks combined. Bill O’Reilly, who had the top show, had more than 1,000,000 in the demo.

• The top non-FNC show was Countdown with Keith Olbermann in both categories at 8pmET for MSNBC.

    Proof once more that the uneducated, unwashed masses prefer to splash about in the cesspool of FX. At least we know whee we can find them. Their habits never change. Tis the Darkness potential of the human mind we see.

    Are those numbers for O’Reilly correct? What has he been doing? Shep’s and Bret’s umbers look great as well!

    It looks like Anderson is in a sinking ship! Forget about Greta, he doesn’t even come close anymore, but it is really telling that he is continually losing to Grace’s live numbers both in the demo and the total viewers. What is worse is that even Campbell Brown’s total viewer numbers were higher on Tuesday!

    Maybe if he spent less time at the fashion shows and schmoozing with celebs and more time working on getting his credibility back those numbers would change. However, that may not be possible no matter what and frankly I am not sure he even cares.
