I can understand that the lifers at CNN and MSNBC are envious of the more successful Fox News, but they should really focus more on covering the news and not obsessing about their leading competitor while in front of the camera. It makes them look petty and jealous. If they want to turn around their ratings and restore their wounded credibility, they need to take the cue from Fox — and report all the news, not just the stories approved by the DNC.

I have a hard time getting worked up by anything Rick Sanchez says. First, he’s so stupid and un-self-aware that it’s almost unsportsmanlike to beat up on him. More importantly, no one watches him so he can’t do any harm.

The world today is a far cry from the fifties and sixties when school children used to practice filing in an orderly fashion to the fall out shelter, or posing under their desks in a safe fetal position. To still be afraid of communism today, compared to past times, is just silly. The iron curtain fell, the bamboo curtain has been pierced, communism lost. And yes, it has been 60 years now since fascism lost too. But the radical Islamics, yes, they have the cowboys in their basement shaking in their boots.

I have no problem with Mormons, and I completely tolerate them. However, they see the future of America, darkly, and I reject that. And it is relevent that Beck sees things that way, because he is trying to convince people that America is on the precipice of collapse, which, and correct me if I am wrong, is the Mormon view of the last days.

@dandmb50 – So the best way to get your ratings up is to knock the competition? I remember that when I was in the schoolyard when I was eight. Maybe Rick is an official journalist, but times are a changin and people like to watch/listen to people who don’t constantly “interrupt” their guests.
