    Big Ed!

  • http://TheDividedStatesBlog.com Publius219

Of course Fox has less viewers later in the evening. Those old people can’t stay up that late and still make the early bird special on time in the morning.

  • Liberal Tormentor – tormenting liberals with logic and facts since 1972

Let me know when he’s #1 for 9 straight years and I’ll be impressed.

“Ed Schultz Grabs First Place Finish At 10 P.M. In Monday Night Ratings”

    Van Susteren= 1.607.000
    Squealing pig monster= 819.000
    1,607.000 > 819.000
Your math skills are… questionable, Mr. Joyella.

Actually, the chart shows that Fox does get the late night viewers. It doesn’t get the younger viewers.

    Point, set, match.

I would disagree with this assertion. Matthews is clearly made up of two people. Both crazy.

  • scristanti

So deceiving the title of this story you would have thought schultz beat Greta in overall ratings, what a joke, msnbc just can’t do it, Fox rules and you libs just can’t stand it, but if it makes you feel better to say they beat Greta in that age group go ahead but it’s the total viewers that count, this article is embarrassing .

Matthews had roughly 15% less viewers in the demo- much better than the usual troucing Beck gave him but all things considered not really that close.

Geez. I was all excited to see Big Ed to have grown out of his pull ups and I find that Mediaite just LIED!

That is just typical, I wonder if you should start having affirmative action scoring for those leftist media outlets, that could even things up a little bit.

  • Tedderman

Way to go big Ed! And now Wisconson Democrats win big tonight, awesome!

Eh. Anyone who acts like it doesn’t matter, because Fox still won the overall rating doesn’t understand how television works.

Fact is, Fox did still kill MSNBC in the overall ratings at 10, and they probably will continue to do so for a long time.

But, the fact is, is that it really doesn’t matter. The 25-54 demographic means WAAAAAY more than the overall, because THAT’S the demo that advertisers pay attention to.

Fact is, Fox did win overall at 10:00. But, in reality, MSNBC was THE winner, because they got the number that advertisers (which is all that really matters when it comes to ratings) actually pay attention to.

  • http://gordonbloyershow.com gordonbloyershow

All the Fox shows had over a million viewers. All the others weren’t even close. Nobody but libs care about the “demo”. VIEWERS are VOTERS the “demo” is meaningless when it comes to elections.

Another idiot headline by Mediaite. LOL

FACT IS, the demo only matters if you are the winner ALL the time. Advertisers don’t pay extra if you make a ONE time jump. Special Ed NEVER holds any ratings jump. In fact he rarely has a ratings jump.

FACT IS, Fox is consistant and wins the “demo” average and gets to charge MORE for their ads than the loser networks.

    FACT IS, FOX wins.

And yet the O’Reilly 11 PM rerun beats everyone else in the demo, in all time slots, on all the competing networks. Huh.

Ed ‘I know nothing’ Sargeant Shultz probably appeals to the mentally challenged for calling Steve Doucy by the name he far more richly deserves: Douchey.

But the fact is that only cheap people who have no PVR/Tivo watch any program in real time. Others record the program of their choice and watch it SKIPPING commercials. So, advertisers affect no influence on people with smarts and money.

That is why the so-called exodus of advertisers from Glenn Beck no effect, whatsoever.

So dumb… i love when once ina blue moon some other station at a certain time slot ebats FOX its a big deal…. and its ALWAYS IN DEMO.. DEMO is a funny thing.. if you ask a advertiser they want that 25-34 age group…but they also want TOAL VIEWERS. Its not like everybody else out side hta age group doesnt buy anything.

So when you see ED fro ONE DAY beat Fox by 7,000 viewers in demo… do those 7k people really going to buy less than the 800,000 that arent in that segment. HELL NO.

ITs nto liek ed is beating fox in Demo but is barely losing in total viewers, he is getting killed.

Ed speaks with passion, he is a champion of the middle class and he tells the truth. He also, has great guests that really speak to the issues and educates the public discourse. He needs that Friday night slot. I hate it, that he is only on M thru Th. It’s just not fair.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Maryellen-Brady/1250608117 CarmanK

It’s the demographic that matters. Younger people are turning to ED for truth and integrity. Van Susteran is still promoting the FOX MEDIA lies and the old folks have not learned. But, perhaps it is time. AARP and other responsible organizations fighting for senior rights may be getting through. As long as republicans dominate the power structure, they will continue their drive to ‘PRIVATIZE SS AND KILL MEDICARE AND SUFFOCATE MEDICAID. Perhaps, this MURDOG IMPLOSION will finally inform seniors about the liars on FOX and that it is time for the FCC to act and to stop the concentration of MEDIA into the hands of a few.
