George Soros On Glenn Beck: ‘I Would Be Amused If People Saw The Joke In It’

video

In an interview with CNN’s Fareed Zakaria set to air on Zakaria’s GPS this weekend, billionaire financier George Soros responds to recent comments made about him by Fox’s Glenn Beck, saying Beck’s comments about Soros would be funny if “people saw the joke in it.” Soros accuses Beck–and News Corp owner Rupert Murdoch–of “telling the people some falsehoods and…leading the government in the wrong direction.”

When Zakaria asks Soros specifically about comments Beck made back in November, accusing Soros of “helping send Jews to the death camps,” Soros concedes that it’s hurtful, but returns quickly to his charge that Fox News is a “media empire” that deliberately traffics in “falsehoods:”

Well, look, Fox News makes a habit — it has imported the methods of George Orwell, you know, newspeak, where you can tell the people falsehoods and deceive them.

Jew-killer Nazi talking to a Muslim Terrorist in a communist news network about how bad our pro-American Mormon Glenn Beck. Boo hoo.

  • http://crpa.co Ron C. de Weijze

They should treat this as in a Court of Law, with real lawyers and with a real pursuit for the Truth. It is serious enough, draws enough attention and we want to know who to believe and why.

Hey, George, why won’t ya appear on Beck’s show? Still a coward I see.

Soros, the joke is on you. Glenn Beck is loved by millions, you are hated by billions. People pay good money to see Beck speak, you waste millions of dollars on progressives that wouldn’t give two shits about you if it wasn’t for your love bribes.

Talk about “Newspeak” and Orwell! Spooky Dude is basically saying 2+2=5 here. He’s hoping no one knows about the existence of this interview:

George Soros Interview On 60 Minutes

When the Nazis occupied Budapest in 1944, George Soros’ father was a successful lawyer. He lived on an island in the Danube and liked to commute to work in a rowboat. But knowing there were problems ahead for the Jews, he decided to split his family up. He bought them forged papers and he bribed a government official to take 14-year-old George Soros in and swear that he was his Christian godson. But survival carried a heavy price tag. While hundreds of thousands of Hungarian Jews were being shipped off to the death camps, George Soros accompanied his phony godfather on his appointed rounds, confiscating property from the Jews.

(Vintage footage of Jews walking in line; man dragging little boy in line)

KROFT: (Voiceover) These are pictures from 1944 of what happened to George Soros’ friends and neighbors.

(Vintage footage of women and men with bags over their shoulders walking; crowd by a train)

    KROFT: (Voiceover) You’re a Hungarian Jew…

    Mr. SOROS: (Voiceover) Mm-hmm.

KROFT: (Voiceover) …who escaped the Holocaust…

(Vintage footage of women walking by train)

    Mr. SOROS: (Voiceover) Mm-hmm.

(Vintage footage of people getting on train)

KROFT: (Voiceover) …by–by posing as a Christian.

    Mr. SOROS: (Voiceover) Right.

(Vintage footage of women helping each other get on train; train door closing with people in boxcar)

KROFT: (Voiceover) And you watched lots of people get shipped off to the death camps.

Mr. SOROS: Right. I was 14 years old. And I would say that that’s when my character was made.

    KROFT: In what way?

Mr. SOROS: That one should think ahead. One should understand and–and anticipate events and when–when one is threatened. It was a tremendous threat of evil. I mean, it was a–a very personal experience of evil.

KROFT: My understanding is that you went out with this protector of yours who swore that you were his adopted godson.

    Mr. SOROS: Yes. Yes.

KROFT: Went out, in fact, and helped in the confiscation of property from the Jews.

Mr. SOROS: Yes. That’s right. Yes.

KROFT: I mean, that’s–that sounds like an experience that would send lots of people to the psychiatric couch for many, many years. Was it difficult?

Mr. SOROS: Not–not at all. Not at all. Maybe as a child you don’t–you don’t see the connection. But it was–it created no–no problem at all.

    KROFT: No feeling of guilt?

    Mr. SOROS: No.

KROFT: For example that, ‘I’m Jewish and here I am, watching these people go. I could just as easily be there. I should be there.’ None of that?

Mr. SOROS: Well, of course I c–I could be on the other side or I could be the one from whom the thing is being taken away. But there was no sense that I shouldn’t be there, because that was–well, actually, in a funny way, it’s just like in markets–that if I weren’t there–of course, I wasn’t doing it, but somebody else would–would–would be taking it away anyhow. And it was the–whether I was there or not, I was only a spectator, the property was being taken away. So the–I had no role in taking away that property. So I had no sense of guilt.

George Soros learned at a young age to ignore his conscience. That’s why he repeatedly has let his own personal greed ruin millions of lives through his currency manipulations, which he equates to the Nazi’s theft of Jewish property in this interview.

If he wasn’t destroying the value of a country’s currency, someone else would, right? Yeah, some other greedy, evil bastard probably would, so it might as well be you, right Spooky Dude?

It figures that Soros would go on CNN for an interview, especially with Zakaria.

To switch video footage you have to purposely go and pull the wrong tape. It does seem kind of a coincidence that every time that some republican got in trouble, they put a D next to the name. Few examples. Larry Craig, Duke Cunningham and Tom Delay.

I have been to some of the Tea Party events and not to many minorities are there.

MSNBC and CNN make mistakes too but with FOX there a lot of “mistakes” Just yesterday they didn’t care for Ron Paul so they will pull the footage from 2010 CPAC that have the boos and raise the bass a little make it a little more pronounced.

  • ImNotBlue

    @ Yoda

Well, because FNC is so powerful, you hear about their mistakes more often. It’s like a celebrity who gets noticed for doing something, yet you or I wouldn’t.

Also, you say that it’s “always” one way or another… but of course that’s not true at all.

And inreference to yesterday’s mistake… do you really think they did it on purpose… right before an interview with Paul. Odds are, the video had meta data saying, “Paul introduced at CPAC,” and an interviewer say that, and went with it… but never checked the year. Oops! They corrected it as soon as they could… what more do you want?!

The fact is FNC gets more attention, and is cut less slack.

I shouldn’t have said every time but it did happen a lot in the past they don’t do as much since I think they have been noticed doing this sort of thing.

No its not an honest mistake. They don’t care for Paul and if they can get their viewers to notice that a lot of people didn’t like him winning the CPAC straw poll; they hope it may shed some influence. They have an agenda that their pushing, If this rarely happen I can see a mistake but this is pushing agenda.

During a McCain campaign rally they switched the video footage in the middle to a 2000 rally because the 2008 rally seem boring and the 2000 campaign was livelier. You can see 2000 signs in the distance Mrs. McCain looked different hair style was different and McCain looked younger

Tea Party rally looked small so they switch to a bigger rally in the middle of the coverage The day went from being cloudy-leaves on the trees to sunny no leaves on the trees.

If you think this is just coincidence I got some beach front property in Kansas I can sell you.

    Ex employees say this happens.

  • ImNotBlue

    @ Yoda

So you have three “examples,” of them “getting caught” doing this stuff on purpose. Really? You’d think after they got caught the first time, they wouldn’t do it again. That alone should be enough to tell you that your theory is bogus. Why would they do this knowingly, if they’re going to get caught? How does that help?

    It’s a mistake… not a conspiracy.

Oh… and if you think taking the word of unknown ex-employees reported by a left-wing advocacy website which pulls a profit off complaining about FNC is a wise idea, I wouldn’t try to sell anyone anything. You’ve apparently bought enough for the two of us.

They get caught and they will do it again because they are pushing an agenda. You will see that these mistakes aren’t mistakes to make the Republicans look bad, but to improve their agenda and make them look good I don’t think I saw a Democrat that was found guilty of something with an R next to their name. If these are true mistakes you would see mistakes going both ways.

How am I ignorant? How many books has Soros written? How many people pay to see him speak? Glenn Beck didn’t become popular by funding the Tea Party and conservative organizations, he didn’t manipulate markets to achieve his wealth. Soros treats people like he treats his stocks, he buys them. That’s what left-wing rich bastards do, they buy progressives which is their way of atoning for the “sin” of being rich.

  • Paleoconservatarian

Ever the puppet master, Soros seems not to be able to view Beck as an individual, but speculates instead on who it may be that’s controlling him. More than anything Beck has ever said of the man is revealed by how Soros seems to view the world and the actors in it.

  • Vietnameravet

Glenn Beck is a hateful liar who finds fertile ground in today’s angry fearful and resentful Conservative that cant accept the old days are gone.

  • Vietnameravet

Today’s conservatives want to balance the budget on the backs of the middle class. That is why they cut social programs like heating assistance to the poor in an effort to balance the budget but dont want to tax the wealthiest.

Historically, they fought every single program that has built the middle class from child labor, food safety regulations, environmental protection, Social security, Medicare, minimum wage, equal rights for women and blacks and on and on and on. All they offer is tax breaks for the wealthiest and they sell this idea using fear and hate and resentment.

They continue to think the real problem is that the rich dont have enough money and, worst of all, think of themselves as the only true Americans as they spread more and more hate and divisions with Beck and thousands just like him.

  • TerryDo

George Soros moved to New York City in 1956, did Soros ever become an American citizen or is he just another illegal living off the fat of the land because you just know he is evading paying taxes by finding every loop hole in the tax system?

He learned well from his father how to protect himself first and foremost; one can almost hear his father’s directive – forget about your Jewish brothers and sisters who were being arrested and thrown into camps or deported, it is your survival that I care about nobody else’s..

George Soros is NEVER to be trusted!

And by the way, isn’t it time for him to die a natural death after all he is 81 years old because he does look very sick. Or maybe it will be from cancer of the bowels which would be more deserving of his life style.

Soros you can’t buy you way out of hell, all you can bring with you when you die is your dastardly deeds.

  • Armageddon T Thunderbird

Glenn Beck is the personal front man for stupidity on a national scale in The United States of America. He is and always was a complete idiot. His personal form of patriotism is false and you’d have to be a brainless, half educated, red necked idiot to believe anything this fool says. But that pretty well describes the tea party and the GOP. This closet homosexual never went to college and never knew anything about World History, American History, World Religions or the US Constitution. He is simply a mocking bird for the twisted views of the John Birch Society and people need to wake up to the fact that Glenn Beck is just another uneducated charlatan who does not possess a single ounce of journalistic integrity. He is definitely not a conservative. In short, he is just another opinion pusher which is why he blends in so well with the bigots on Fox News Network. This self important racist climbed in bed with Satan a very long time ago as lies, half truths, fear and hate are his only products that he has for sale and he is making big money off of impressionable fools who love being told what to think. Glenn Beck is simply a product of mormon cult theology that he mixes with cherry picked parts of Catholicism, New Age Religions and his personal core as a washed up, dry alcoholic. This makes Glenn Beck one very screwed up moron who sold his soul to the lowest common denominator of personal stupidity. And for the record…the religion of Islam has far more in common with Christianity than the mormon cult. Beck consistently demonstrates all the unstable behaviors of a dry alcoholic which include grandiosity, judgmentalism, intolerance, impulsivity, ADD, indecisiveness and blindness to truth. In short, Beck, Limbaugh, O Reilly, Hannity, Palin, O Donnell, Coulter and others like them who think they are conservative are all guilty of perverting truth, history, facts, religion and the US Constitution when they open their big mouths. They are all idiots who live in and speak to some alternate universe of stupid red necks that feed off of fear & hate mongering and love being fed a steady dose of extreme right wing lies. It is a breath of fresh air to finally see studies proving that Fox news viewers really are the most gullible and misinformed people on the planet.
