Michael Steele Meets His Daily Show Puppet, Talks About His RNC Tenure

Former Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele made a much anticipated appearance on The Daily Show and not only talked some serious issues with Jon Stewart, including the possible raising of the debt ceiling and why there was a “steele” curtain that prevented him from appearing on the show earlier, but most importantly Steele got to meet his puppet look-a-like.

When Stewart was confused which was the “real” Michael Steele, the puppet had a great idea: “ask us questions only the real Michael Steele can answer.” The humorous exchange that follows ends with Michael Steele finally dismissing the puppet with this rhyming gem: “take a hike, Dick van Dyke.” Hopefully though this isn’t the last of Puppet Michael Steele since the rest of the interview seems to suggest that the real deal Steele is not quite as entertaining as the puppet.

That was so great. I love you Michael Steele and thank you for admitting to the “blind spot” when it comes to St. Ronnie. That guy raised taxes 3 times in his Presidency and blew up deficits. Not much of a fiscal conservative.

Hey come on, you’ve got to give Steele credit where credit is due. The RNC elected a black guy and he did’nt dissapoint. He spent all the money he got his hands on where ever it needed to be spent,weather at strip clubs,fine resturants,really good wine,first class travel,$2000 suits,a big staff,five star hotels…whatever,,,Steele got it done…and like it or not he did help take over congress.He did what any guy from the hood would have done….so stop your bitching.

RRKING rermembers . I saw a puppet show once . It seemed fake to me . You could tell the puppets were not real ! C’etait une imposture !

That’s funny, I thought it wasn’t racist because it was a send up of how Steele presented himself early in his time as RNC chair.
