Tea Party Leader Blasts Geraldo Rivera For Airing Anti-Tea Party ‘Hit Pieces’

More drama between Fox News and the Tea Party movement: Geraldo Rivera had Tea Party Express leader Mark Williams on to vent his frustrations about how the tea partiers are portrayed in the mainstream media, and Williams promptly took out his anger– straight at Rivera.

Rivera begins the segment by asking Williams about misconceptions about his organization in the media, to which Williams, without missing a beat, replied that “as long as you keep helping them with hit pieces like the one you just ran” the misconceptions would continue. Clarifying that the tea party is a “human rights movement,” he continued to bash the host:

“nutwads who march around the woods with guns and years’ worth of food in their backpack are not part of us, but you keep sending them our way and we keep doing our best to disown them.”

“You seem to be attacking me,” Rivera finally astutely noted. That prompted Williams to actually attack Rivera, personally: “you’re Geraldo Rivera; William Randolph Hearst winces at some of the work you do.”

Ouch. Also, wrong: Hearst is widely recognized as America’s first yellow journalist and would have probably loved the Al Capone vault special.

This exchange was probably most awkward for Mike Huckabee, who is sitting there silently the whole time and later given the responsibility of hastily taking control of the conversation away from Williams.

Jerry Rivers should be on MSNBC with all the other media hacks.

The teabaggers sure are a bunch of whiny bitches.

They know how to dish it, but take it? Not so much.

Shouldn’t Breitbart be crying moar soon too? It’s been a while since that sniveling bastard showed his face on TV. lmfao

Hey Frances, I’m pretty sure that was his point, genius. His point is is that Hearst would have more class than to run some of the ‘peices’ that you have run. That’s sayin’ alot knowing that Hearst pioneered and mainstreamed yellow journalism…but thanx for playin’…

    Great choice of “leader” teabaggers!

Teabagger Mark Williams says: ‘Obama is an Indonesian Muslim turned welfare thug and a racist in chief’ and tries to defend it!

Mark Williams is proof that the Teabaggers are “nutwads.” The tea party isn’t a salute to the patriots of the Boston Tea party, it’s a perversion of a tailgate party that draws together the nutwads and the douchebags lead by Andrew Not So Breitbart and Mark Williams.

Once again, frank exchange of opinion on Fox, and not the predictable, politically correct mush you get from CNN or the smear of the day from MSNBC.

    Tea Party concerns:

    1. Taxes have grown unmanageable for middle America.
    2. Federal government spending is OUT OF CONTROL.
    3. Illegal immigrants cost YOU and ME billions of dollars a year.
    4. The Federal Government is usurping power from the States.

Instead of name-calling, you people should be very very concerned about the direction our country is going.

Geraldo is balance. Anyone who expects fair from him is nuts. Let the dude pour it out…we are smart enough to know what he is. It was good to hear him get blasted with the truth…smile. SIXTY IN 2010

    RON PAUL!

  • GIVEMEFREEDOM

LOL, libs are outraged that the “tea baggers”, as they like to call em, get ANY airtime at all. And then they’re all indignant in the end when FOX calls up Mark Williams who Geraldo thought might put a verbal hex on the Obamanites instead turned his immediate attention on the hoaxster in chief Rivera. Will this excellent theater ever end??? I think not, the libs can’t let go even when they’re in first place . . . . they’re such bottom dwellers.

Gerry Rivers AKA Geraldo Rivera is an over-the-hill, irrelevant nincompoop and should be ignored. Good for the Tea Party guy in setting this Leftist Nutball straight!!

YOU SHOULD BE CONCERNED ABOUT THE FACISM OF THE NEW ARIZONA LAW?

You misunderstood. Williams was basically saying, “You’re so bad you make William Randolph Hearst look like Edward R. Murrow.”
