video

Winding down on this calm Sunday afternoon, here’s a fun little local news clip for you. Not sure if this was a happy accident or a prank or someone was just testing the graphics. Whatever the case, never have the words “EPIC FAIL” carried with them so much meaning.

    Epic hilarious!

  • Broadhorizons

This is what happens when you leave young people in charge of broadcasting. (It’s also what happens when youngsters don’t believe in rebooting a computer before airing.)

  • TbagsRstupid

    EPIC means NOTHING anymore

“Epic fail” stopped being acceptable when Eric Bolling ran it into the ground.

Weather that is insisting that you pay attention! LOL

They pretty much kept their cool.

  • Solidasiraq13

Right, because it’s “youngsters” who have trouble with computers.

Looks like an automation system went nuts…if it was manual operation, you’d just take the key sources off!

  • Realheadline

That’s the kind of hard-hitting ’in your face’ weather the action news team rolls out. Three cheers and a gold star for the blonde

Local TV newscasts are simply cartoons with real people in them.

What in the world are you talking about “rebooting”???

Not every problem is solved by just rebooting a machine, it could be any number of issues.

Speaking as an occasional viewer of that particular network I can assure you that things like that are -not- uncommon.  It happens at that station a LOT.  In spite of the appearance of things they -do- have one of the better forecasts for the region.

Paul Lynde forecasting the weather on television is even funnier.
    Epic old school clip. LOL!

Roger the Space Alien was obviously based on Paul Lynde.

“Epic” will always hold a place close to Nature Freak’s heart.

I intend to use the term “epic” even when I am 90 years old and in a nursing home.

Bring back TV meteorologists drawing the weather on a map or using stencils/stick on images!

That is how they did it up until 1980 or 1981. As a 40 year l remember it being this way as a little kid watching TV (on a TV with big knobs, rotor for the antenna and no remote. My bedroom Television was Black and White).
Almost makes me feel old. Get off of my lawn you kids!

Posting this benign sophomoric video was an EPIC FAIL. I see the plebs are easily amused. – Carry on.

  • Nature Freak

It was funny. World changing it was not.
    Lighten up, Francis!

    Why insult the Plebs?

There were people far worse off than the Plebs in ancient Rome.

  • Steve P.

After all the depression Obama has gave us, thanks for the laugh

how appropriate are those call letters, KIDK?…

  • Colonel Lingus

I think “big knobs” may have a dual meaning for this story.

  • Colonel Lingus

No doubt due to the freezing morning temperatures where they are.
