Today Runs Extensive Report on Ryan Seacrest Allegations, With EyeWitness Who Claims to Have Seen Abuse

NBC’s Today show ran an extensive report Wednesday morning on the sexual harassment allegation against Ryan Seacrest — a former NBC correspondent who was even rumored to replace Matt Lauer on Today. What made this news was an eyewitness who says he saw some of the abuse firsthand as well as a scathing rebuke from Seacrest himself, claiming total and absolute innocence.

As previously reported, Seacrest is accused of repeatedly harassing longtime personal stylist Suzie Hardy, with the former stylist detailing a laundry list of creepy behavior, such as  “grinding his erect penis against her while clad only in his underwear, groping her vagina, and at one point slapping her buttock so hard that it left a large welt still visible hours later.”

Now, Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb, themselves no strangers to predatory media men, led a segment presenting some incriminating evidence against Seacrest, with an unnamed source telling corespondent Kate Snow that he witnessed some of the alleged behavior firsthand.

The source told Snow that he saw Seacrest acting inappropriately with stylist Hardy on “multiple occasions,” alleging that “she would go to tie his shoe and Ryan would shove her head toward his crotch.”

The source also told NBC that, prior the 2008 Oscars, he witnessed Seacrest forcing a bearhug on Hardy as he sported an obvious erection.

“She was trying to get away from him” the source said. “I could see an erect penis in his underwear.”

As for the accused, Seacrest issued a statement this morning in which he claimed absolute and total innocence.

“This person who has accused me of horrible things offered on multiple occasions to withdraw her claims if I paid her millions of dollars. I refused,” he wrote.

“I have worked extremely hard to achieve my success and I don’t take my opportunities for granted. I don’t want to accuse anyone of not telling the truth, but in this case I have no choice but to again deny the claims against me.”

Hardy’s attorney responded with a statement, accusing Seacrest of “attempting to smear the victim and divert attention from her very specific and supportable claims.”

Seacrest is employed at ABC, both as a co-host on the morning show Live With Kelly and Ryan and as the presenter on American Idol.
