Journo Blasts Piers Morgan’s ‘False’ Claims In Interview With Bombastic GOP Candidate
Kyle Clark, the veteran Colorado 9News anchor and political reporter, pulled no punches this week in putting Piers Morgan on blast for his recent interview with GOP gubernatorial candidate Victor Marx.
Clark has followed Marx’s rise closely in the Colorado GOP and has been one of the leading reporters pressing him on the many wild claims he makes about his background, including having killed an undisclosed number of people, performed exorcisms, and called in an airstrike on ISIS as a civilian.
“Colorado GOP Gov candidate Victor Marx just did an interview with Piers Morgan. It’s largely a rehash of my interview with Marx in May without new revelations or research. Also, Piers makes several false and misleading claims that muddy the discussion,” Clark wrote on Tuesday, sharing the YouTube link to the lengthy interview. Clark went on to detail some of the errors he saw from Morgan:
Piers has Marx recount his claims of beheading a cat (age 3) and killing a man (age 7), acts Marx claims were forced on him by an abuser. Piers oddly keeps asking if Marx will open an investigation of the killing as Gov, apparently not realizing it allegedly happened in Louisiana
Piers also falsely claims Marx’s website scrubbed an inaccurate claim of 45k women and children rescued by Marx after journalists asked (it was removed prior to the scrutiny). Honestly, the whole back and forth was a mess. Baffling why Marx did it other than to raise his profile.
Clark’s latest deep dive into Marx came out late last week and was titled, “Victor Marx hunts for demons, and votes, in the race for Colorado Governor.”
Clark previewed the report on social media, writing, “Victor Marx’s $7.5M/yr ministry pitches his exorcisms as the solution for homosexuality, murder, even low self-esteem. I reviewed 100+ hours of Marx’s sermons and speaking gigs for an in-depth look at the demon hunter who wants to be Colorado’s Governor.” He added:
Victor Marx says his retooling prayers work over the phone. I found video of Marx performing the ritual on a podcast.
Minutes after Marx banished 11 demons from the co-host named Stacey, she cheerfully helped pitch his $99 spiritual warfare course.
Marx’s demon deliverance ministry appears to have started decades ago when he says prison guards left him alone in a cell with a 15-year-old girl who spoke to him as Satan.
“When I visited Marx’s training center, his team politely offered to perform an exorcism on me. I declined,” Clark quipped.
Marx is running against Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser (D) in the general election, in which Weiser is the heavy favorite.
