MeidasTouch Extends Streak as YouTube’s Top Political Podcast — Here’s This Week’s Top 100

In a chart dominated by killers and comedians, MeidasTouch is a lone political voice worthy of a spotlight, back at #5 this week and the only political podcast to make the top 10 three weeks running.

The progressive commentary show, hosted by the Meiselas brothers, returned to #5 after slipping to #7 last week, nudged out temporarily by Law&Crime Sidebar with Jesse Weber and its trending Diddy trial coverage.

MeidasTouch has become a fixture for progressive listeners and its consistent top 10 position is notable because other major names, many conservative, like The Megyn Kelly Show (#16) and The Ben Shapiro Show (#55) continue to hover mid-chart. Tucker Carlson’s show ranked #10 for the first time but even he hasn’t matched the same week-to-week staying power.

Elsewhere, the true crime wave keeps crushing.

For the second straight week, Rotten Mango – Stephanie Soo’s addictive blend of horror and real-world criminality – held firm at #1. It’s no small feat, facing off against high-wattage names like Joe Rogan and Theo Von. Moral Of The Story, a secondary show from Soo retelling scandals, debuted at #81 – a possible sign of a burgeoning podcast network.

Rogan held steady at #2, his loyal audience resilient. Kill Tony rose to #3, pushing out CBS’s 48 Hours, which slipped one spot to #4.

Overall, however, true crime and legal commentary are cementing their space, claiming at 8 of the top 30 spots — up from seven last week. Aside from Jesse Weber’s daily show that’s tackling the explosive Diddy trial, another big headline in the crime category is The Lawyer You Know, which debuted on this week’s list at #17 thanks to coverage of the Karen Read trial.

Legacy media remains sturdy: 60 Minutes held at #25, NBC Nightly News at #36, and NewsNation’s Reality Check with Ross Coulthart dipped slightly to #26.
