Charlamagne Warns It’s ‘a Wrap for America’ Unless Every Trump Admin Official Is Locked Up Within 5 Years

It’s “a wrap for America,” Charlamagne Tha God warned Tuesday unless, that is, “every single person in this administration” is jailed “in the next five years.”

He added, “We used to be a proper country, that I thought we had checks and balances but maybe we never did,” Charlamagne added in the latest episode of The Breakfast Club.

The show’s host was responding to Friday’s news that President Donald Trump’s family crypto business, World Liberty Financial, has received approval to set up its own bank.

The Treasury Department’s Office of the Comptroller of the Currency granted conditional approval to World Liberty Trust Company to set up a bank charter, allowing World Liberty to issues its own stablecoins, a type of cryptocurrency.

World Liberty was founded by Trump’s sons and by the sons of Steve Witkoff, who currently serves as the U.S. Special Envoy to the Middle East.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) labeled the approval a “brazen act of self-dealing.”

“President Trump is now the first President in history to approve, operate, and supervise his own bank. This is the most brazen act of self-dealing our financial system has ever seen — and Congress cannot allow it to stand,” she said in a statement.

Warren was joined by Sens. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD), Angela Alsobrooks (D-MD), Chris Murphy (D-CT), Bernie Sanders (I-VT), Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.), Jack Reed (D-RI), Andy Kim (D-NJ), Tammy Duckworth (D-IL), and Ruben Gallego (D-AZ).

The group introduced the Ending Presidential Corruption in Banking Act on Friday.

“Trump has proven time and time again his desire to enrich himself while serving as President of the United States,” Gallego said in a statement.

“At a time when costs continue to rise and families must make tough financial decisions, this president looks out for himself, not working Americans. This bill makes clear no public officials, including the president, nor their families, should be able to enrich themselves by owning and controlling banks.”
