DOJ Concludes Epstein Had No ‘Client List,’ Did Not Blackmail Anyone — and Wasn’t Murdered

President Donald Trump’s Department of Justice and FBI have concluded there was no Jeffrey Epstein “client list,” no evidence he was blackmailing “prominent individuals,” and no sign that the convicted pedophile was murdered in prison.

The two-page memo, obtained by Axios on Monday, laid out the administration’s final position that Epstein died by suicide at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in 2019 while awaiting trial for sex trafficking, and no one else involved in his case will face charges.

Investigators say they examined hours of footage from August 9–10, 2019, and found no suspicious activity in the cellblock where Epstein, who was facing federal sex trafficking charges, was held in isolation.

“The FBI enhanced the relevant footage by increasing its contrast, balancing the color, and improving its sharpness for greater clarity and viewability,” the memo reads.

“The conclusion that Epstein died by suicide is further supported by video footage from the common area of the Special Housing Unit (SHU) where Epstein was housed at the time of his death,” it continues.

The DOJ also released both raw and “enhanced” versions of the video, but the links to the footage are no longer working.

The memo also found that there was “no incriminating ‘client list'” related to widespread claims that Epstein had amassed a cache of blackmail evidence against “prominent” individuals. There was “no credible evidence” for this claim, they wrote.

FLASHBACK: Pam Bondi Says Epstein Client List ‘Sitting on My Desk Right Now’

The release comes after FBI Director Kash Patel and Deputy Director Dan Bongino, both of whom were public skeptics of the official narrative around Epstein before taking up their roles, said that an FBI review of available materials had backed the claim Epstein died by suicide.

“He killed himself,” Bongino said bluntly on Fox News last month. “I’ve seen the whole file.”

Questions around Epstein’s elite ties, which include claimed associations with Trump, still echo in right-wing media, especially after a February document dump was panned for lacking new material.

Investigators, however, now argue there are no legal grounds to pursue uncharged individuals. It insists no further disclosures are “appropriate or warranted.”

Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s longtime associate, remains the only person sentenced in connection to his sex trafficking ring. She is serving a 20-year prison sentence.
