‘Grifters Gonna Grift’: Conservatives Torch Megyn Kelly for Hopping on ‘The Anti-Israel Bandwagon’ With Marjorie Taylor Greene

Megyn Kelly interviewed Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), the congresswoman famous, at least in part, for her fascination with Jewish space lasers, on her show Tuesday — and many conservatives were less than impressed.

Greene has made waves in recent days by accusing Israel of committing “genocide” in Gaza and advocating against the provision of further aid to the American ally.

During Kelly and Greene’s conversation, Kelly expressed her mistrust of AIPAC, a prominent pro-Israel lobbying organization.

“I’ve been very pro-Israel and I’ve been very defensive of their right to defend themself. But I have absolutely no skin whatsoever in defending any lobbyist group, including AIPAC, so I would love to know what they do to get the loyalty of politicians. Because I will say, I have had multiple, multiple reach-outs to me, both from friends and from connected people in D.C., begging me to go to Israel with them, and I have said no every time,” Kelly told Greene. “But lately it seems like it’s coming to be even more ’cause I feel like there’s a contingent of people who are worried that they’re losing me, and I’ve said that, ‘You’re not losing me, I’m not on Hamas’ side,’ but it’s been a while now that this has been going on and we’re getting more involved with the Iranian bombing and so on, and my own feelings are, you know, I’m looking at Israel in a different way right now than I was on 10/8, that’s for sure. And I can feel the pressure being slightly ratcheted up. Like you’re not allowed to. You’re not allowed to.”

“I’m not going! I’m going to stay right here. I can cover this conflict from here and I don’t wish to be wooed by any side. I actually don’t wish to be persuaded,” she added.

The Megyn Kelly Show’s X account shared the clip of Kelly and Greene on Tuesday — and the reaction was not especially kind.

Some, like Republican communications strategist Matt Whitlock, reserved their fire for Greene.

Many others, though, expressed their disappointment and disgust with Kelly.

“Got to 1 min and 40 seconds of this when Megyn Kelly starts defending Tucker Carlson and she lost me. If you want to persuade us, don’t hold up the Holocaust-denying, Putin-supporting, Iran-backing, tin foil-wearing podcaster as the gold standard,” mused Nikki Haley alum Nachama Soloveichik.

“There’s a worldwide unrelenting information war against the Jewish people, and it’s working. Why do you consider it so bad that people encouraged you, someone with a big platform, to go to Israel to see for yourself?” wondered Legal Insurrection’s William Jacobson. “This was disappointing.”

“I’m not saying Megyn and MTG are bought by Qatari money, I’m just asking whether it would look any different if they were,” mused David Hazony.

“Israel doesn’t have ‘control’ over any politician. Congress members support Israel because their constituents want them to. It has nothing to do with AIPAC or other lobbyist groups. Despite the loudmouth Qatari stooges, basement-dwelling Groypers, and Pakistani sock puppet accounts, the vast majority of Americans are still pro Israel,” replied the conservative influencer account Han Shawnity. “Megyn decided to hop on the anti-Israel bandwagon because she’s desperate for relevancy. First it was joining Tucker in dunking on Ben Shapiro for no reason whatsoever. Then she pushed the debunked conspiracy that Epstein was a Mossad agent. Now she’s doing this with the biggest idiot in Congress.”

“In hindsight, I should have seen this coming. Grifters gonna grift,” he added.

“Wth happened to Megyn Kelly?” asked The Reagan Caucus.

I thought this kind of incendiary bullshit was beneath you. I guess not,” mused Jordan Schachtel.

But wait, there’s more:

Not everyone was critical, though. Far-left commentators Glenn Greenwald (who recently gushed over infamous white nationalist Nick Fuentes) and Mehdi Hasan both praised Kelly and Greene for their conversation.

“This conversation between @megynkelly and @RepMTG — on the inordinate power exercised by the Israel Lobby and the multiple prongs of influence they wield — would have been completely unthinkable even a year ago, and shows how aggressive they became as their polling collapse,” argued Greenwald.

“I am no fan of Kelly or Greene but this conversation is definitely worth a listen,” remarked Hasan.
