‘Crickets!’ Stephen A. Smith Calls Out Jasmine Crockett and Other Left-Wing Figures for Ducking His Show

Stephen A. Smith listed numerous figures connected to the Democratic Party who have allegedly avoided invitations to appear on his show.

In a YouTube video posted to his channel on Tuesday, Smith again discussed the perception that he has disparaged Black women in the past. Earlier this month, the National Association of Black Journalists announced Smith as the recipient of the “Thumbs Down” award. He was given the award due to “a recurring public pattern of disparaging commentary directed at prominent Black women across politics, sports, and media.”

Smith has repeatedly denied that characterization of his commentary.

On Tuesday, he claimed he’s reached out to numerous prominent Dems and invited them onto his show. Those efforts, however, had yet to bear any fruit.

Smith said:

I’ve invited Don Lemon on this show. Don Lemon wants to talk privately first, but he said a whole bunch of things publicly. President Errin Haines for NABJ — I’ve invited her on the show! She wants to talk privately after she spoke publicly. I’ve invited Jasmine Crockett on the show — crickets. I ain’t hear a word. I’ve invited Kamala Harris on the show — crickets. I ain’t hear a word — publicly. Privately, Kamala Harris and I already met face-to-face over a year ago. Two hours. Nobody brings that up. Michelle Obama has been invited on this show. Haven’t heard a word. Cari Champion and Jemele Hill have been invited on this show. I ain’t got no problems.

Ladies and gentlemen, I don’t have time to have hate in my heart. I mean, maybe for one person who y’all all know, and I’ll leave that alone. But outside of that, I really don’t have time for hatred in my heart. I certainly don’t hate any of these women. I’ve got nothing but love for them.
