‘They Said No!’ First Take Producers Tell Molly Qerim to Shut Down ‘Mad Dog’ Russo’s Rant About Bill Belichick’s Girlfriend

Chris “Mad Dog” Russo’s rant about Bill Belichick’s girlfriend was quickly shut down when First Take producers told host Molly Qerim to do so.

On Wednesday’s episode, Russo was finishing up his segment, “What Are You Mad About,” which sees the longtime radio host ranting about a variety of things that have recently come to his attention. After finishing up, Russo listed a number of items he left on the cutting room floor. That included something about Belichick’s girlfriend, 24-year-old Jordon Hudson.

“I had a lot more that I can give you,” Russo said. “The Rangers fired their head coach. Mrs. Belichick’s girlfriend with the 28-3 jersey, which drove me crazy. Did you see that this week?”

Several weeks ago — on March 28, to be exact — Hudson posted a photo of herself and Belichick. In the photo, Hudson was wearing an Atlanta Falcons championship shirt in reference to the New England Patriots’ Super Bowl win over the Atlanta Falcons after trailing 28-3.

Qerim was unaware of the photo and asked Russo to tell her more about it.

“You wanna hear this?” Russo responded. “It’ll get me in trouble, but I’ll tell you.”

Just as Russo was getting ready to tell the story, Qerim received a message from her earpiece to can it.

“Oh, they said no!” she said. “They said no.”

It wasn’t clear why ESPN producers were so eager to move on, but Belichick’s relationship with Hudson — who’s nearly half a century his junior — has been a topic of discussion on social media since it was revealed. Perhaps the producers feared that Russo would let something controversial slip during an impassioned rant.
