Former NFL quarterback Vince Young was apparently temporarily knocked unconscious following a sucker punch during a bar fight in February.

In the footage obtained by TMZ, Young was spotted at Tokyo Joe’s Shot Bar in Houston, Texas, on the night of Feb. 4. The clip begins with the 40-year-old in the middle of a heated discussion with several other men. Suddenly, in response to something one man said, Young pushed away two other men as they aggressively approached him. The two men Young pushed quickly responded and got back between the two to prevent the argument from escalating. Young continued struggled with the men in an effort to get to him.

Multiple other men swarmed the scene to break it up. Then, one of them threw his drink on the man Young had a problem with. During the ensuing scuffle, the man that threw the drink elbowed him in the face. Multiple punches were thrown as the crowd of patrons shifted from one side of the bar to the other.

Young, now playing mediator and trying to stop the fight, was punched by the man he approached at the beginning of the conflict and dropped to the ground. He slowly got up a few seconds later.

According to TMZ, the man who had the drink and the elbow thrown at him is the owner of the bar. He said the fight started over a conversation about race. Things escalated when he asked them to leave, and he eventually called the police.

No charges were pressed.
