There has been all sorts of substantive news about gay marriage this week, it’s easy to forget the small moments. I’m referring, of course, to the Nebraska woman who gave her remarkably unique reasoning for why gay people should not be allowed to get married. To say she went off the rails would be kind. More accurately, she went off the rails and down into a bottomless pit of confused bigotry. Thankfully, the guys over at Red Eye picked up this moment and decided to have some fun with it.

Greg Gutfeld played a quick montage of this woman’s greatest hits, noting that he really wasn’t listening to her because he was too distracted by her little hat. Bill Schulz joked that after listening to her, he would be willing to give homosexuality “the old college try.”

Gutfeld marveled at her amazing verbal abilities and how it sounded like “the most coherent nonsense ever.” Schulz found her words to

be disturbingly detailed about the… deviance engaged in by homosexuals. Gutfeld wondered if there were any people in the United States supporting gay marriage because they don’t want to be on the wrong side of history, not for any other political reasons.

In the Halftime Report, Andy Levy gave his two cents on the lady, saying that she’s on a plane of her own, well beyond any other old people who oppose gay marriage. He joked that if only she had removed her little hat, what she said might have sounded far more sensible.
