Lara Trump Taunts People ‘Melting Down’ Over Her Offer To Sing At Alt Super Bowl Halftime Show
First Daughter-In-Law Lara Trump taunted people she says are “melting down” over her “jokey offer” to sing at Turning Point USA’s alternative halftime show.
Supporters of President Trump were outraged at the news that Bad Bunny will headline this year’s Super Bowl halftime show, ostensibly because of the rapper’s vocal criticism and activism around Trump’s deportation forces. The rapper mocked the outrage during his monologue on this week’s edition of Saturday Night Live.
Lara Trump jokingly pitched herself as the un-Bunny during an episode of her podcast, along with other artists she would like to see counterprogram the NFL’s halftime show.
On Friday, she responded to “very upset” critics with an Instagram video:
So we just heard something that’s pretty funny.
I heard that there are a lot of people out there on the left who are melting down and very upset about the possibility that I might be performing at the halftime show for the Super Bowl for Turning Point USA.
Um, while my joking offer, which was clearly a comical and joking offer, still stands to perform. I’ve not been asked in any formal way to perform for the Turning Point halftime show for the Super Bowl.
But everybody out there continue gettin’ upset about it and freakin’ out about it.
And while I’ve got your attention, might I suggest that we turn this into something positive?
I’m gonna give you my favorite animal rescue. Maybe you can check them out. Big Dog Ranch Rescue, BDRR.org is the website.
If you’d like to donate or if you’re looking for a family pet, adoption is the way to go. So thank you for your attention to this matter.
Mrs. Trump garnered attention with a cover of the Tom Petty classic “I Won’t Back Down” and has continued to pursue singing.
