Beyoncé and Lin-Manuel Miranda are Some of This Year’s Most Charitable Celebs

shutterstock_416550721This year, according to our cousin site Gossip Cop, DoSomething.org’s Celebs Gone Good list has been finalized and Beyoncé on top. She beat Taylor Swift, third on this year’s list who has been in the number one spot four years in a row. The rankings were chosen this year based on a combination of fan votes, expert opinion, and IMDB StarMeter rankings.

Queen Bey did a lot of good work this year, including headlining the Tidal X: 10/15 concert, which raised money for the Robin Hood foundation. Lin-Manuel Miranda, who has had an incredible year in pretty much every way (wait, have you heard about Hamilton?) is second on the list. This year, he raised millions of dollars for the Hispanic Federation. Additionally, in the wake of the horrific Orlando shooting at Pulse nightclub he recorded a song with Jennifer Lopez. 100% of the proceeds from downloads of the song went to the Hispanic Federation for the Somos Orlando Fund.

Though Swift lost the top spot, she still did a lot of good this year and came in third. Also in the top five are Demi Lovato and Shailene Woodley.
