Donald Trump sat down with CBS’ John Dickerson today for Sunday’s Face the Nation, and he made it clear he has zero regrets about skipping out on the Fox News debate.
Trump said his rally for veterans was “tremendous” and the debate was “not as exciting as what we did.” He continued to complain about how unfairly he was treated by Fox leading up to his decision to not go.
Dickerson said, “It’s a press release! You were offended, but aren’t you being a little too politically correct?” Trump deferred and instead complained about the number of debates coming up in the cycle.
The Donald also smacked down criticisms that his usage of a veterans event was a “political stunt” (which some vets groups have criticized).
Trump’s full interview with Dickerson will air this Sunday on Face the Nation.
