Prominent Republican donor Ed Butowsky continues to rip Rod Wheeler — who filed a bombshell lawsuit earlier this week against Butowsky and Fox News alleging, in part, that the network coordinated with the White House on coverage of the murder of DNC staffer Seth Rich.
Speaking with Ali Velshi on MSNBC, Butowsky — in what was a wild interview during which he rambled at length on several occasions — claimed that Wheeler is concocting his claims solely to make a little money.
“[A]m I Republican? Yeah, okay,” Butowsky said. “Am I huge Trump supporter? No. I’m a conservative economic guy who that’s what I talk about when I go on television and that’s what I live by, okay. So the idea that I was pushing some narrative, Rod is just out there trying to make money.”
Wheeler, in his lawsuit, is claiming that FoxNews.com, in a published report which has since been retracted, fabricated two key quotes attributed to Wheeler.
Butowsky claims that Wheeler is telling a number of different lies.
“Rod’s lies just continue to add up. And I know I’m on national television and I know what I’m saying and I know it’s the truth. Rod has a big, big problem with the truth.”
