‘Great Anger’: Trump Continues Twitter War on the NFL

President Donald Trump appears keen to keep attention fixed on his feud with the NFL, and many players’ choice to kneel during the national anthem in protest of police brutality.

Early Tuesday morning, Trump was again tweeting about football after the Dallas Cowboys knelt in unison before the national anthem at Monday night’s game against the Cardinals.

He claimed the ratings for football “are way down,” except at the beginning of the games, adding that the Cowboys were met with loud booing:

The president, who claimed he did not spend much of his time watching football in comments over the weekend, ended his Tuesday morning Twitter burst on a positive note. In a tweet that was deleted and tweeting out again (because of a typo), Trump said that the fact that the Cowboys stood up for the anthem was a sign of “[big] progress being made”:
