It appears Fox News’ Laura Ingraham has found the real victim in the #MeToo movement — office Christmas parties.
“Is the #MeToo movement becoming a spoiler for this season’s Christmas parties?” Ingraham asked during a segment on last night’s The Ingraham Angle.
Speaking to conservative comedian Jimmy Failla, Ingraham wondered aloud if the recent spate of powerful men being outed for sexual misconduct and harassment would make for a less festive mood this holiday season.
“No alcohol and no fun and no lampshades and, I don’t know, maybe that’s better,” she noted. “Is this just killing all the fun of Christmas?”
Failla pointed out that Vox had recently imposed a two-drink limit at its holiday party, leading Ingraham to joke that she needs two drinks just to read Vox.
Failla would go on to say he was “pro-holiday Christmas party” because he thinks it serves to build camaraderie “over someone getting trashed” and that it is sometimes good to see a co-worker act a fool.
