Michael Caputo Tells Trump to Pardon Roger Stone ‘On Twitter’ During Fox News Interview
Former Trump campaign adviser Michael Caputo advised President Donald Trump to pardon his former confident Roger Stone while on Fox News with host Tucker Carlson.
“Pardon General Flynn. Pardon George Papadopoulos. And pardon Roger Stone right now, Mr. Trump,” Caputo said while appearing on a show the president is known to watch and use for policy messaging. “Don’t wait until after the election, they deserve it now.”
“Do it right now,” he added. “Do it right now on Twitter.”
When Trump was asked by Fox News host Sean Hannity about pardons later that night, the president told the network that he doesn’t “want to talk about pardons now but I can say it’s so sad on so many levels.”
“Many many people were hurt, incredibly hurt, by this whole scam,” he noted.
As for Caputo, the 2016 Trump advisor expressed that he felt “vindicated” by the release of Attorney General William Barr‘s summary of the special counsel findings, which state there was no collusion found between the president and Russia.
Caputo also told Carlson that he received numerous threats since the release of the Mueller probe and even “spent Tuesday at the police station in my little village in Western New York pressing charges against someone for threatening me on Facebook.”
