‘More Than Half a Dozen’ White House Staffers Reportedly Thinking About Leaving Over Wolff’s Book
A new report states that the explosive revelations from Michael Wolff‘s new book could cause an exodus from the White House in the next few days.
Fire and Fury is still rocking the American political landscape, though it’s gone beyond the Steve Bannon/Donald Trump feud, and it’s now getting attention for what it suggests about the chaos bogging down the administration. The book alleges that many of Trump’s top advisors think the president is thoroughly unintelligent, and according to Axios’ Mike Allen, there’s quite a few people who might soon leave Trump’s side.
More than half a dozen of the more skilled White House staff are contemplating imminent departures. Many leaving are quite fearful about the next chapter of the Trump presidency.
Even though Trump has been trashing Wolff and his book over the past two days, he is not known to take criticism very well, and departures from the president’s team could conceivably happen out of fear of his anger or of the continued political dysfunction.
